The Macro Coil build is ground zero, the beginning of coil building. There isn’t much to this coil to talk about but it is very important to learn this build to be able to move on to bigger builds. This coil is also 1 out of 4 basics you need to learn and master when venturing into coil building. The other 3 builds to learn when starting are, parallels, twists and basic claptons.
There are many ways to do this build, most commonly being done with a coil jig as opposed to hand wrapping. I do recommend learning to hand wrap, as it is crucial when wrapping more advanced builds since a coil jig cant properly work with big builds. Practicing this build goes a very long way.
